Licence Tiers (Ready-Made Store)
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These tier texts apply to Ready-Made Store purchases and are incorporated into the Terms of Service.
Common definitions and restrictions (all tiers)
The "Licensee" is the Producer/Buyer. The "Licensor" is the Vocalist (or The Vocal Market where it owns the Recording). For all tiers:
- The Licensee may not resell, sublicense, or distribute the isolated vocal stems or acapella.
- The Licensee may not use the Vocalist's name, image, or likeness without prior written consent of both The Vocal Market and the Vocalist.
- The unaltered Recording may not be registered with any copyright office, Content ID, fingerprinting, or performance-rights system.
- The Licensee is responsible for clearing any third-party rights their use requires.
- The Licensor retains ownership of the Recording and all moral and neighbouring rights except as expressly licensed.
Non-Exclusive Vocal Licence
A non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable right to incorporate the Recording into new musical works, and to distribute the resulting works commercially and non-commercially (streaming, download, physical, radio, synchronisation), provided the Recording is not redistributed or sold in isolation. The Vocalist may continue to license the same Recording to others.
Exclusive Vocal Licence
An exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable right to use the Recording in new musical works. After an Exclusive Licence is sold, the Recording is removed from sale and will not be licensed to any other Producer. Non-Exclusive Licences validly issued before the Exclusive sale remain valid and survive. This licence does not transfer ownership; the Vocalist retains moral and neighbouring rights. The Licensee may not claim authorship, resell, sublicense, or register the unaltered Recording with any copyright office, Content ID, or performance-rights organisation.
Cover Vocal Licence
A non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable right to incorporate the specified cover vocal performance into new compositions, provided the Licensee obtains all necessary third-party rights (composition, mechanical, sync, etc.). No rights are granted to the underlying composition, lyrics, or melody of the original work being covered.
